A Brief Explanation of TBW Water Filtering & Recycling Systems

The MICRO 45 is a compact unit that delivers a large volume of water (45 gallons per minute) with dual filtration to 15 Microns. The self-contained unit is shipped pre-wired and pre-plumbed. Simply connect plumbing and supply the unit with power. This unit includes the SoBrite standard Odor Control package.

The TBW Aquarius is a more sophisticated system that utilizes its PATENTED PROCESS to recover 100% of the water used during the wash and rinse cycle less any dissipation through evaporation and carry off. It is designed to clean the water to the 7- to 10-micron range (clear water). Clear water is that which contains significantly less amounts of detergent, emulsified oils, dirt particles, and is visibly clear to the naked eye. This water can be used for both washing and rinsing, if desired, in conjunction with a spot-free final rinse agent, thus significantly reducing the amount of fresh water used.

Each of the above systems can be used in a balanced situation.

The TBW Aquarius "Closed Loop" System requires no sewer and is not a balanced system. Using the PATENTED PROCESS described above to obtain clear water in the 7- to 10-micron range, we add the following steps. The clear water is now filtered through a polish filter, which cleans the water to 2- to 4-micron range. This now enables us to utilize a Reverse Osmosis System to obtain the highest quality clear rinse water. This allows for enough clean rinse water on the rinse cycle and assures that there will be no soap or residue remaining on the vehicle which causes spotting.

Example: The vehicle being washed carries out ten gallons of water on its roof, sides, frame, etc., and an additional five gallons is lost in evaporation, for a total of fifteen gallons. That means only fifteen gallons of fresh water can be reintroduced to the system. If more is put in than taken out, the results are a flooded wash bay. By limiting the rinse, water leaves residue and soap on the vehicle that will cause spotting.

Our system continually cleans the water and allows as much water as needed to be used adequately rinsing the vehicle.

NOTE: The Aquarius is virtually maintenance free. The above described Aquarius Reclaim Systems DO NOT use diatomaceous earth, charcoal, activated carbon, sand, gravel, filter bags, or any type of replaceable filter media.

The TBW-333 recovers 100% of the water used during the wash and rinse cycle, less any dissipation through evaporation and carry off. The 333 cleans the water to the 40- to 60-micron range (gray water). Gray water still contains detergent, emulsified oils as well as tiny particles of dirt and silt, however, this water can be used to wash vehicles. When choosing this system we recommend rinsing with fresh water and discharging any overflow to the sanitary sewer, or septic tank leech field, if applicable.
